The Tour Costume Stock Maintenance Technician works to insure that all costume pieces sent on the road for MCT's International Tour Project are in proper condition. This position works somewhat independently with supervision from the Staff Costumer. Applicants need strong sewing skills; duties include everything from minor repairs on garments to complete costume rebuilds.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders, walk up and down stairs, operate scissors for long periods, and sit or stand for extended periods of time. Time and project management is critical. Patterning, drafting skills, and Industrial sewing machine experience/skills are a plus. He/she must also have computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and will use both the Patron Manager database and Drop Box.
We are looking for exceptional organizational skills and be able to be a self-starter as well as a team player. This person is motivated, is an excellent communicator and will maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
