SUPERVISOR - TECHNICAL RESOURCESRequisition #: 190000IHJob SummaryOversee technical service delivery for IT infrastructure functions. Oversee key technologies, including local and remote support, utilized to ensure efficient, reliable and secure delivery of IT services. This includes hardware solutions, operating systems, virtualization and system management technologies utilized to ensure established service levels are met. Responsible for the executing based on the prioritization, assignment and resolution of issues associated with this area. Communicate activities to IT management on a consistent and frequent basis. Coordinate activities across other IT and business groups if necessary.Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Provide tactical input on key infrastructure initiatives in their area of responsibility. Coordinate and consult with IT infrastructure and application personnel to ensure business needs are driving the strategic plan.

Maintain tactical relationships with key software and service vendors. This includes providing data and/or assisting in the review of multi-million dollar contracts and maintenance agreements related to IT infrastructure.

Assist with defining or updating of new IT policies and procedures.

Consult with Infrastructure or Application managers, project managers, and/or technology architects to determine architecture strategies for large-scale systems. Ensure that technology acquisitions related to application projects are in line with overall strategies.

Communicate relevant information to project committees, development teams, vendors, and other key stakeholders as it relates to technical support and problem resolution.

Provide leadership to other supervisors and individual contributors, engage in the project portfolio and/or software development lifecycle for projects, and ensure proper controls are designed into solutions in order for appropriate service levels to be met.

Develop and review information including but not limited to:

Technology-based policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines

Requests for Proposal (RFPs)

Maintain and manage teams SharePoint Site.

Document and follow-up on issues, meeting minutes, and action items.

Coordinate with other departments and 3rd party partners to identify and monitor issues, risks and dependencies.

Promote continuous improvement by conducting, documenting, and communicating lessons learned.

Build relationships with all functional areas.

Assist their manager with communication to customers regarding incidents and action plans.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English

Application of math, algebra, and statistical formulas

Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in CS, MIS or related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and job‑related experience.

Demonstrated ability to direct the activities of a department, including planning, budgeting, personnel development and other administrative functions.

Demonstrated ability to manage integrated solutions that support multiple business functions including understanding of business processes inside the functions and related technology that supports those processes.

Knowledge of architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations.

Application of math, algebra, and statistical methods.

Experience with ITIL, COBIT or other IT control frameworks.

Experience implementing server technology, client technology, system monitoring and management tools, and virtualization techniques.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

Ensure technical resources are knowledgeable about expected service levels for services relying on technology supported by their areas. Assist with definition and implementation of service level metrics.

Experience preparing internal and external correspondence, status reports, business cases, technical configurations, and system standards and procedures.

Experience managing a small to medium team, including recruiting, retaining and developing employees.

Experience developing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations.

Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills

Training and experience relative to the following areas:

Interpersonal communication skills

Hardware (end user computing, network, voice, server) management

Customer service

Tracking and escalation of issues/problems

Project management

Certification and Licensing

Applicable driver’s license.

May require travel to other company offices and facilities and to job sites
