The Gage County Sheriff's Office, an EOE employer, is accepting applications for Office Clerk.Applicants must be 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED. No felony convictions. Valid drivers license is required. Pre-employment testing will be conducted. Applicants will be required to pass a thorough background check prior to interviews. A typing test will also be required with 50 wpm with no errors. Duties will include title inspections which requires certification to inspect various types of vehicles from standing, prone, and kneeling positions as well as climbing in and out of vehicles to include semis, trailers, RVs, and etc. in all kinds of weather, answer incoming phone calls, work with the public, disseminate mail, receive money, check in/out jail visitors, data entry, must be comfortable with computers/copiers/printers, and other duties as assigned.Work hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday with holidays off. Benefit package included. Applications will be taken until October 23rd, 2020 at 5:00 pm and must be received by mail or in person at the Gage County Sheriff's Office 612 Lincoln Street in Beatrice. A signature is required on all forms. Background and reference checks will be conducted October 26 through November 6th and interviews will be the week of November 9th. This position will start on November 30th, 2020.
