Responsibilities

Responsible for defining the technical architecture of a key SW development system, fielded at USSTRATCOM, in coordination with the Government.

Primary duties:- Define system and software needs to evolve over time in order to keep the system secure, sustainable, and affordable-Define subsystems, interfaces, allocate responsibilities, solution deployment, and communicate requirements-Enable the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines-Team oversight, produce high-quality software, and drive continuous improvement- Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases-Work directly with Agile teams to determine velocity, prioritize tasks, implement requirements, and automate-Manage Product Backlog and assist the Product Owner to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value-Develop and maintain technical documentation- Perform lessons learned and/or root cause analysis for DevSecOps issues recommend SW improvements- Ensures that development activity is planned and executed in keeping with the architecture- Technical liaison between the contractor and Government and technical guidance to software development activities- Documents designs and validates requirements including maintenance, performance, test, cost, and schedule

Secondary duties:- Employment decisions and staff planning

Qualifications

BS degree in a technical discipline with 10+ years of experience. Minimum of five years experience with Agile software development lifecycle from conception thru end of life. Experience should include using iterative development, test driven development, automated testing, automated installation and deployment, managing infrastructure as code, andtroubleshooting techniques.

5 years of experience leading projects using Agile development processes and DevSecOps, including CI/CD and associated automation techniques

Experience designing enterprise architecture with modern, enabling technologies and processes (e.g. cloud computing, CI/CD, virtualization, agile design and development, JavaScript frameworks, RESTful services, standards-based authentication and authorization protocols)

Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, product owners, users and developers to design and communicate an innovative and secure architecture that enables continuous delivery of software.

Experience designing shared services such as caching, eventing, and messaging in distributed environment.
