This includes leading validations for molds and equipment, continuous improvement projects, meeting business objectives and providing supervision to the unit's molding personnel Essential Roles:- Responsible for all work required to upgrade molds, bring in new molds and molding equipment, including procuring and managing capital, coordinating with corporate, dealing with vendors and leading validation activities.
- Responsible for handling the daily molding-related issues of the production unit, including coordinating with the production Planner, assuring preventive maintenance of molds and molding equipment.
- Responsible for resolving safety, environmental, productivity, quality, and customer issues related to molding.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of molding including identifying and implementing projects such that annual budget and financial performance objectives are met.
- Provides coaching, guidance and specific direction to non-exempt technicians to resolve issues and problems.
- Provides input to the performance management process which includes annual performance objectives and reviews.
- Acts as the liaison for providing molding support for others' needs including Experimental Work Orders, supporting other worldwide BD molding operations, and corporate requests.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a Mold Engineering field
- With Bachelor degree: 3-5 years experience in an engineering field, preferred in a molding area
- Preferred: 2+ years supervisor experience
