Position OverviewThis position is responsible for analyzing information gathered by multiple systems to secure the companies data and infrastructure. Additional duties include assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of all security systems as they pertain to IS.

Position Requirements• Associate degree in computer related field and/or equivalent job experience (Bachelors degree preferred)• 5+ years experience supporting security based devices and software.• 3+ years experience supporting varied computer networks and protocols.• 5+ years experience supporting PCs, OS, and peripherals.• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner• Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks• Ability to pay close attention to detail• Knowledge of security devices and technologies such as: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, web filtering, port scanners, vulnerability scanners, sniffers, malware management systems, email gateways, encryption technology, SIEM solutions, Data Loss Prevention, cloud and internet technologies.• Knowledge of multiple protocols such as: TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, and well-known ports on each.• Knowledge of multiple operating systems such as: Windows 10, UNIX, Linux, client/server application support, LAN and WAN design and support (specifically IP networks).• Knowledge of routers, switches, intranets, and VPN configuration/implementation• Ability to work remotely when required• Skill in effective verbal and written communications• Excellent oral and written communications skills• Ability to be at work on a regular basis to support normal business hours.

Job Duties/TasksThis position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:1. Performs and monitors internal and external vulnerability scans to ensure all systems are kept locked down.2. Audits and tracks access to Company data and applications and reports findings to upper management.3. Assists in developing, testing, and implementing security plans, products, control techniques, and procedures in accordance with Company security policies.4. Monitors security systems and documents possible threats or vulnerabilities. Evaluates risk and recommends corrective actions to ensure data security.5. Maintains all security policies and researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance data security.6. Reviews and tests all new system implementations to ensure they have met all security policies and standards.7. Maintains awareness of up-to-date threats and vulnerabilities and their respective countermeasures8. Updates and maintains virus and spyware/malware protection systems.9. Maintains and reviews system log files.10. Reviews employee access to various systems to ensure job relatedness.11. Responds to reported security violations and assists in Company-wide security awareness.12. Tests, documents, and reports security risks in new systems and applications13. Assists in reviewing and completing audit/legal requests14. Requirement to respond to, troubleshoot, and fix network incidents on a 24x7 on-call basis including late-night change windows.15. Conducts various projects as they apply to specific areas of responsibility.16. Provides level III user support that at times includes working non-scheduled hours.
