Job Description
At Olsson, we help our clients comply with complicated environmental regulatory requirements and develop solutions for environmental compliance and remediation programs.
As an Assistant Engineer for the Environmental team, you will prepare environmental permits and plans, perform regulatory and technical analysis, write technical reports, conduct audits and inspections, and provide program management support. You may also coordinate with clients and travel to job sites for observation and field work, including sampling. Some overnight travel may be required.
We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln or Omaha office locations.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- 0-3 years of experience, previous environmental consulting experience is helpful.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certificate preferred.
- Microsoft, GIS/ArcMap or other related software experience is helpful, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and an interest in direct client interaction.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform research and write technical reports.
- Ability to work independently with guidance from project managers/technical staff.
