will be vital to our success and drive future growth. In this role you will
provide leadership in the management and development of Behavioral Health
across the state of Nebraska. You will be empowered to do your best to develop
the strategy and vision for product roadmaps, establish collaborative
relationships with external and internal stakeholders, gather accurate
requirements and evaluate product performance to enhance our mission of helping
people live healthier lives.The Behavioral Health Director will
think strategically, and creatively, about how the consumer experience should
work; translating a vision to processes and requirements by focusing on
contractual requirements including access to and delivery of Behavioral Health
Services with emphasis on the importance of integration of care.Primary Responsibilities:
Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teamsin a complex, matrix work environment
Ensure that the MCO’s behavioral health operations,providers, and any subcontractors are in compliance with the terms of thecontract
Coordinate all areas of the MCO, including qualitymanagement, utilization management, network development and management,provider services, member outreach and education, member services,contract compliance, and reporting
Support the development of market strategies and valueproposition
Assist with forecasting revenue or savingsopportunities associated with product development initiatives
Serve as the behavioral health clinical lead to thecustomer, state and community stakeholders
Define and develop local market performance againstcontractual, clinical and fiscal targets
Manage cross-segment projects and initiatives thatrequire problem solving, relationship building, influencing and analyzing,including clinical, operational, network, reporting and fiscal teams
Adapt Behavioral Health plans and priorities to addressbusiness and operational challenges
Influences innovation across teams to ensure aligned,cohesive progress across technology, marketing and service operations
Responsible for oversight, tracking and reportingclinical requirements and performance standards set by the customer andthe state
Establish strategic priorities for Benefit ExpenseManagement, and overall affordability initiatives
Collect and deliver required clinical operationscustomer reporting as well as develop action plans to address performanceissues
Identify and analyze local market trends, service gapsand the development of mitigation strategies aligned with our strategicpriorities
Demonstrates an effective, adaptive leadership stylethat promotes innovation, accountability and establishes work priorities
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience
Nebraska licensed behavioral health professional, suchas a psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, psychiatric nurse,marriage and family therapist, or mental health counselor
3+ years of leadership experience
5+ years of administrative experience
5+ years of experience in public sector or BH care
Thorough understanding of managed care principles,models and financing
Experience in public sector mental health or non-profitcommunity mental health, with knowledge of Medicaid populations
Experience in healthcare
Proficiency with MS Office applications (min of 3years’ experience)
Commutable distance to Omaha office and Lincoln
Travel 50% within the state of Nebraska
Preferred Qualifications:
Medicaid experience
Experience making oral presentations
2+ years of experience working in a corporate managedhealth care environment
Experience in a recovery-oriented delivery system
Data analysis background and report writing capability
Project Management skills
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrixenvironment
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively andinfluence others
Effectively communicate at all levels of theorganization
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communicationskills
Strong customer service orientation
Experience in recovery and resiliency practices andprograms
