Imagine your career at Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Nurse or Surgical Tech, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:

Performs First Assistant responsibilities in the surgical setting

Circulates and scrubs for specialty procedures, as well as, other OR procedures.

Takes “call” as assigned.

Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department

Demonstrates work practices consistent with Alegent Health and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.

Assess patient’s pain and establishes an acceptable pain level.Responds and intervenes to verbal and non-verbal pain.

Complies with internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures.Participates in achieving nursing division goals and supports shared governance structure.

Job RequirementsWe are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.Additional requirements for this role include:Education Required:Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or Surgical Technology Program. Has successfully completed a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program that includesdidactic and at least 135 hours of clinical component.Preferred:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Masters’ Degree in a related health care field Experience 3 years of perioperative nursing experience in both a scrub and circulating role preferred.Join us at Catholic Health Initiatives, and become a part of our faith-based health system.
