We are hiring commercial painters to add to our growing company.
Please only apply if you have at least 1 year of commercial painting experience.
Responsibilities
Applies paints, stains, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces, as appropriate, and according to Materials Safety Data Sheets ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines
Install, repair and maintain painting components
Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition
Provides protective coats of paint, varnish, lacquer and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other property
Prepares surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, torching and/or smoothing prior to applying finishing materials
Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Properly stores, cleans and disposes of all supplies and equipment used accordingly to departmental policies and procedures
Determines appropriate color for new or replacement applications through consultation with customers
Identifies, safely handles and appropriately disposes of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials
Operates compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and other small power equipment
Painting drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing
Operates heavy lift equipment including scissors, and boom swing stage to heights of 80 feet
Erects various types of scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of work area for Painters and others
Experience: Minimum three (1) year experience of commercial painting required
