Summary
Our Directional Bore Crew Personnel will perform semi-skilled activities related to Horizontal Directional Drilling and locating. You must be familiar with the underground utility standards policies, guidelines and procedures. Experience running Ditch Witch and Vermeer HDD and Digitrak Locating Equipment

Full Time Year round work
Responsibilities
Operate a directional bore for horizontal directional drilling locating
Safely operate heavy equipment such as: backhoe, HDD, track hoe, vac trailer and more
Using a hand shovel, dig around existing utility structures to prevent damage
Load and unload equipment and materials
Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log
Perform regular maintenance/cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
Valid Commercial Driver's License class A required, or must be willing to get. Company can assist
Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities
Ability to interact with public, supervisors and coworkers professionally at all times
Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances
Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Desire to learn and commitment to working safely
Working Environment
Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All work-site safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
Work is performed within the red zoneĀ of heavy equipment
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination
Requirements
Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
Valid Commercial drivers license with clean driving record
Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
