Configuration Control / Data Management Specialist

What You'll Get to Do:- Apply configuration and data management control disciplines to the design, development, and support of software, hardware, and other complex systems.
- Develop, analyze, and maintains tools that support and automate processes for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product or solution's performance, functional, and technical attributes and its requirements, design, and technical specifications throughout its lifecycle.
- Develop standards, processes, and controls supporting product/solution configuration, data management, and release activities.
- Provide guidance and status to software developers, engineering staff, quality assurance, and configuration/release teams related to process and tool design alternatives, solution lifecycle processes, and compliance with established procedures for configuration/data management.
- Efficient response to customer-driven changes, managing schedules, and resources.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, repositories, reports, and other tools to manage the Physical Configuration Audit/Logistic Control Number processes.
- Pro-actively manage drawing changes to reflect current company and customer policies and procedures
- Maintain open verbal and written communication with all stakeholders to include customer representatives, technical, and management teams
- Use professional and business judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Actively seek to build and encourage stake players to meet common goals
- Track, manage and analyze complex engineering drawings, process specifications and documentation. While always upholding agreed-upon security standards.
- Act as a liaison among Management, technical staff and subject matter advisors to understand business issues, troubleshoot problems, develop, and recommend cost-effective data solutions for data anomalies.
- Ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow data.
- Manage Logistics Control Numbering tracking system.
- Conduct Physical Configuration Audits
- Be Familiar with the implementation of complex engineering solutions for critical systems and capabilities, engineering and implementation of C4 systems, operations and maintenance of systems and subsystems.
- Be Familiar with the design, engineering and implementation of technologies and interfaces specifically supporting the operational capability of senior leadership and supporting facilities.
- Must be familiar with USSTRATCOM common IT systems and engineering s/w tools (REMEDY, AutoCad)
- Familiar with installation, integration, and test activities in support of the operation and maintenance of C4 systems.
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) applications in support of technical services, CM, and repository maintenance for overall C4 system/subsystem technical data management.
- An Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/sCI
- BS/BA in science, technology, engineering, business administration, computer science, information systems or equivalent experience( 5 years experience as performing CM functions to include logistical support, item management and property control)
- Demonstrated experience in support of DoD or other federal agency in a configuration management/logistics capacity
- Configuration and Data Management (CDM) Certification
