Desktop Support Engineer

Omaha, NESeeking a Desktop Support Engineer with experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers with Microsoft-based operating systems dating back to Windows XP and Windows 7.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience installing, identifying and correcting Microsoft-based operating system issues (Windows XP & Windows 7)
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining good communication across other team members, management and customers
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team
  • Demonstrate utmost professionalism in the workplace
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Banking Experience

Desired:
  • Microsoft Windows Deployment Services (WDS) experience
  • Microsoft System Center Suite 2003 (SMS) & System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience

Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, evaluation, development, installation, testing, and support of desktop hardware/software components
  • Support Microsoft Windows systems (XP & Windows 7) to company requirements and standards
  • Provide technical assistance, responding to production on-call escalation responsibilities (after hours support possible)
  • Assist in investigating and recommending solutions to meet business needs
  • Provide hands-on user support by troubleshooting hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers
  • Configure workstations for new users and upgrades existing equipment and software
  • Sets up and maintains network and telecommunications systems
  • Troubleshoots LAN, server and connectivity issues
  • Utilizes ticketing system, when necessary
  • Re-images computers, performs data migrations and restorations, and conducts remote problem solving as needed
  • Must possess a working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations and have strong software experience
