SummaryAbout the Position: The position is with the Regulatory Branch, Operations Division, Omaha District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The office is located in downtown Omaha, NE, near the Missouri River and the city's wide array of parks, museums, historic sites, restaurants, and entertainment venues.ResponsibilitiesServe as the principal clerical and administrative support position for the Regulatory Branch, coordinating clerical and day-to-day administrative support activities.Serve as the central source for the use of the financial management system to process requests and payment for all items of cost, timekeeping, and miscellaneous administrative functions for the Branch.Maintain working relationships with Regulatory Field Offices, applicants, contractors, project managers, and other District elements to facilitate the work, exchange factual information, and develop support for the program.Assist in establishing Branch goals and objectives for administrative/clerical team.Oversee the work of field clerical assistants.Review and distribute incoming regulations and implementing directives relating to administrative and clerical functions and procedures.Stay abreast of current administrative requirements and developments in such areas as processing of personnel and pay actions, records, reports, documentation, correspondence, mail, filing systems and other related actions.Prepare or update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to include changes or additions.As Government Impact Card holder, purchase a variety of supplies and/or services by credit card. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources Management, Natural Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
