Title- Business Analyst Location- Omaha, NE Position Type- Full Time Job Description: The Business Analyst is responsible for working within a software development environment with experience working as part of an Agile team. Must understand basic development concepts. Communicates with stakeholders to understand business needs with the ability to articulate those needs into requirements for the development team. Build, organize and maintain the backlog over the course of the project. Works with the Stakeholders to prioritize features and user stories. Helps identify and track development blockers. Facilitates user acceptance testing. Performs other duties as needed. As a Business Analyst in our practice you will:

  • Interface with clients and other project stakeholders to lead the delivery of product releases
  • Support the software development environment with emphasis in the Requirement Analysis, Planning and Testing phases
  • Proactively manage and mitigate risks and issues across Agile team
  • Elicit, analyze, document, help prioritize, and manage requirements from multiple stakeholders
  • Manage the activities, tasks, and deliverables of application releases throughout the Agile SAFe SDLC
  • To increase the business value, collaborate with the product owner to create the product backlog by using Agile practices
  • Develop business cases by working closely with product managers to develop business cases.
  • Provide user stories to multi-disciplinary teams and define the business-driven acceptance criteria
  • Support Agile practices and encourage the improvement of service
  • Facilitate various Agile processes such as Iteration / Release Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Sprint Review, Daily Stand-up
  • Create low or high-fidelity prototypes accordingly.
  • Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional area(s) to the assigned Scrum team
  • Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts
  • Define and document requirements; Analyze and prioritize requirements
  • Write functional specifications; Lead development of common standards and tools
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in management, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioners (PMI-ACP) certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience developing solutions and performing work using agile principles.
  • Experience visualizing processes and requirements for developer consumption.
  • Knowledge and prior use of Azure DevOps kanban boards and/or Leankit preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills across multiple and diverse groups and constituencies.
  • Ability to think analytically and objectively, without regard to personal opinion or emotion.
  • Ability to think at both a strategic and tactical level.
  • Strong consultative, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Railroad /Travel and logistics experience is preferred.
