PayPal is looking for an experienced Anti-Phishing analyst to join PayPal’s Anti Phishing group. The Anti-Phishing analyst will be responsible for protecting our brand from the growing threat of e-mail abuse.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record in analyzing cyber threats and responding to cyber incidents. Experience should include passion for email analysis (messages and headers), once reported through internal employees and partners.

Job description :

Design alerts and playbooks to automate our response to phishing attacks

Collaborate with PayPal’s Cyber Defense Centers to monitor and analyze potential threat activity

Act as the main analyst on potential Anti-Phishing incidents identified by CDC

Monitor message campaigns to identify high-risk customer impact

Develop advanced analytics and countermeasures to protect critical assets from Phishing attempts

Recommend security improvements based on current trends

Requirements

3+ prior experience in cybersecurity, incident response, email-abuse, or security monitoring

Demonstrated passion for email messages abuse

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently yet fully integrate with worldwide, remote teams

Experience with Perl, especially advanced regular expressions and Unix command-line invocations
