Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Manager

Sprinkle & Associates LLC is a professional services firm located in south Denver that provides tax preparation, investment management, consulting and family office services to businesses and high net worth families across the United States. We are currently seeking a senior-staff tax preparer or tax manager on a full or part-time basis. This position can be very flexible for the right candidate if they are dedicated to client service and being part of a successful team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing complex tax return engagements, including calculating tax projections and quarterly estimated tax payments.

Responsible for identification of potential issues and planning opportunities, as well as completing any research and analysis needed to support tax positions.

Assist with family office accounting engagements as well as other special projects as needed.

Balance the need for determined problem solving with a recognition of when assistance is required.

Maintain excellent working relationships with clients and co-workers.

Must be driven to grow professionally, remain current on the latest tax law changes and constantly improve technical tax compliance skills.

Effectively supervise and patiently mentor staff. Must be able to take direction from superiors as well as peers with more experience in a particular area.

Timely prepare client billings on all assigned clients.

Requirements:

Accounting degree and CPA (or candidate) preferred.

At least two years of tax compliance experience, public accounting preferred.

Experience with high net worth individuals, family offices, partnerships and oil & gas preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe PDF. Experience with Lacerte tax software preferred.

Must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills when requesting information and discussing tax issues with clients and other team members.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Ability to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Must be willing to work extended and weekend hours during peak filing seasons (Feb-April and August-October) in exchange for greater flexibility during other times of the year.
