DescriptionAccountemps currently has a long-term temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic, innovative team. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Henderson, Nevada area and will offer a great you a great detail oriented experience along with attractive compensation. Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements
Efficient in ERP systems
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
General familiarity with Aged Receivables
Proven knowledge of Ledger Account Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Practical knowledge of month end closings
Account reconciliation experience
Cash reconciliations experience
ESB Oracle SOA experience desired
Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Skilled in financial reporting
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Ability to meet deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
