Construction office is looking for a reliable individual to undertake admin assistant / Accounting Clerk duties. The ideal applicant is highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills and will be able to work independently with little supervision. This person must have the ability to interact with all staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform general clerical duties; e.g., typing correspondence, data entry, mailings, etc.
Check, sort and forward emails
Answering phones and setting calendar appointments
Enter and Pay Bills in accounting system
Constant communication with customers on the work progress and project completion.
Accounts receivable & payable
Invoicing
Reconciling vendor accounts
Create and maintain employee files
Post credit card charges to accounting system
Assist in other office related duties as needed
Bank and credit card reconciliation
Requirements/Skills:
Spanish language fluency: The position requires the ability to communicate daily through oral and written communications in both Spanish and English. The applicant will regularly interact with monolingual Spanish speakers.
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
QuickBooks is a must
Candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Knowledge in accounting principles and procedures
Union knowledge is a plus
Must be able to work M-F from 8 am 5 pm
