General Summary of Duties:

Summary:

Responsible for taking the lead role in maintaining daily operational and direct supervision of all activities within the Compliance department for AML (anti-money laundering) compliance and Gaming Control Board(GCB) Book Wagering regulations for Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

Ensuring the day-to-day compliance with anti-money laundering AML requirements and responsibilities includes supervising Compliance Specialist(s), performing reviews and analysis.

Role and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee implementations of AML Program, including:

· Conduct and or oversee Title 31 audits completely and with accuracy, making adjustments as needed and issuing exceptions as required

· Manage SAR / KYC

· Attendance at AML Annual Conference

· Attendance at AML monthly and quarterly Compliance Committee Meetings

· Ensure annual and new hire AML training of employees

  • Assist with Barring Patron status
  • Identify compliance risks and take necessary actions to eliminate or minimize risk
  • Such other compliance related responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time AML Compliance Officer
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position, including: Timely CTR, SAR and BWR filings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.

Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (“AML”) and related regulations.

Review AML audits, track results and ensure corrections are made and all AML filings timely occur.

Supervise departmental operations and personnel, including issuing discipline and ensuring accountability is maintained.

Conduct and review suspicious activity analysis, investigate and draft narratives, handle communications, and complete and file AML reports.

Administer and maintain the AML training program.

Communicate and implement departmental policies and procedures.

Perform administrative functions, including but not limited to, scheduling and recordkeeping.

Supervise multiple priorities/projects and meet and ensure Team Members under supervision meet deadlines.

Maintains work and work areas in an organized and neat manner.

Experience Requirements: Qualifications

  • 3 years’ anti-money laundering experience in a compliance department with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Previous experience working in environment with sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Experience with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience providing professional communication, to regulatory agents in both one-on-one and small group settings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word and NEWave
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
