Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Director of PMO Position for a position in Las Vegas, NV. This will be an onsite permanent opportunity.

Summary The Director, IT PMO will report to the SVP Chief Information Officer.

Responsibilities • The Director, IT PMO is responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, integration and management of PMO processes and functions to improve the consistency and efficiency of the delivery of IT projects. • Define the PMO strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects. • Leads the project and program portfolio and manage an effective initiative prioritization process through IT Steering meetings and Project Review Board meetings • Leads and facilitates the governing body that serves as the final review for key initiatives to ensure alignment with strategy and to identify potential conflicts/barriers/risks to implementation. • Communicates Project Management status to senior management and executive team and prepares project justification for executive presentation to the Board. • Lead the execution of a PMO governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of all organizational project portfolio activity. • Plan, direct and coordinate departmental technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated • Identify and define the major strategic issues for the organization and integrate diverse stakeholder interests with the broader IT agenda to inform the development and prioritization of project initiatives and to proactively understand and mitigate risks. • Works closely with the Training, IT and other Management to identify pre and post implementation training and support requirements and ensures smooth transition of implemented projects. • Ensuring proper communication with the business ensuring that internal customers participate and drive many elements of this strategy and mediate competing needs among stakeholders. • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, training and support to enhance the project/program management capability, and improve collaborative development and project results • Oversee all financial and contractual requirements for project and program delivery including budgets, analytics, procurement, purchasing and contracts. • Oversee vendor management processes within IT, in collaboration with wider corporate team. • Supervises all aspects of department performance. Determines the priorities, goals, plans and resources to ensure delivery of effective project and portfolio management function. Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process. Job Requirements • Requires 10+ years of experience in a customer facing project management role within the industry of casino systems technology, Information Technology, or its equivalent. • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management. • Strong financial and analytical skills including experience in statistics, report building, and creating complex financial and project management tools/models with a solid understanding of operations efficiency metrics and tools. • Proven experience operating at a strategic level and being able to drive the business strategy. • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence. • Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects from inception to successful implementation. • Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors. • Demonstrated leadership experience of multidiscipline, high-performing work teams/groups, with demonstrated depth in organizational dynamics, motivating teams, and developing talent. • Data-driven decision-making and the ability to drive team progress through vague and complex situations. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations and adept at conflict resolution. • Strong business acumen, action oriented and results driven. • Valid Nevada Gaming License is required and /or must be obtained before entering this position. • Must be 21 years of age or older. • BA/BS degree or equivalent is required.
