Purchasing Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of purchasing and financial systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This position will aid in documenting application and system environments (architecture, ecosystem, interfaces), developing application procedural documentation and knowledge base information, and supporting the day-to-day “run” operations of financial applications and systems. Assigned tasks will require a mixture of technical and analytical skills. This position will work in a cross-functional team environment and will have the ability to collaborate effectively to implement and maintain business solutions. Responsibilities- Supports purchasing and finance related applications and solutions; Reviews, analyzes, and maintains financial application and system environments; Monitors the overall availability and performance of the application/system environments and associated integrations.
- Investigates, triages, and troubleshoots escalated issues and system outages; Performs root cause analysis and exercises appropriate problem management strategies; Liaise with other teams to resolve technical dependencies, issues, and risks. Serves as an escalation point for production and/or platform issues.
- Creates system/application documentation, procedures, and policies.
- Executes and facilitates change control processes, including the development and execution of test scripts, communication plans, implementation plans, and rollback plans.
- Oversees, recommends, and implements appropriate solutions and enhancements to ensure system reliability and performance; Assists with estimating solutions and defining requirements.
- Assists with platform capacity planning and management. Works with suppliers/vendors to remain current with enabling technologies and maximize utilization of adopted platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology or from four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in Technical, Finance Systems and/or Application Support.
- Understanding of account structures, reconciliations, financial close processes, and related reporting requirements.
- Ability to interpret/understand business requirements and translate them into a technical system solution/design
- Experience with Oracle One, home builder module or equivalent purchasing or financial accounting platform.
- Experience with financial reporting platforms and/or processes.
