$35-$40 per hour The School Counselor/SchoolMental Health Worker provides counseling to students in need of counselingand/or support with their mental health needs.Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Providesnecessary counseling as required for the student and/or as outlined in thestudent’s IHP
Assesthe students' psychosocial needs, and evaluate the progress
Collaborateswith all disciplines to plan and evaluate goals for each student
Develop,implement and manage school guidance programs
Utilizesa variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans
Workswith student’s in individual, small group and/or classroom settings
Facilitatesstudent’s learning involving life skills, organization techniques and timemanagement
Assistingstudent’s with creating an academic plan for their education
Performsother duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Licensing/Certificationaccording to state/facility requirement
TheCounselor may possess an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Masters inPsychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or someother Human Development major They must have the required licensing/certificationfor the specific position if applicable
Currenthealth certificate/physical exam, as required by state regulations or clientrequirement specifications
CurrentPPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state/client requirement)
Computerproficiency preferred
Mustbe at least 18 years of age
Abilityto effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals(including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strongcommunication skills
Successfulcompletion of background screening and onboarding process
Mustmeet all federal, state, and local requirements
