Scrum Master Our direct client is one of the leaders of the hospitality industry. They are currently looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join their team. This position is open to remote work from California, Washington, Texas, and Nevada. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Scrum Masters are responsible for a dedicated agile team. The Scrum Master will provide oversight of the Agile framework to ensure operational excellence in product deliveries. The Scrum Master leads dedicated teams to deliver business functionality through development and quality assurance execution provided by subject matter experts on their teams. they provide guidance and help educate the team in Scrum Agile framework and ensuring that the Agile process is being followed. The Scrum Master works with Product Managers, Tech Engineering Leads and Program Mangers to ensure timely delivery of prioritized requests. They help remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. Scrum Masters must have exceptional communications skills, be well organized and exhibit superior follow-up and follow-through skills. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Function as Scrum Master for dedicated Scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work. - Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective, and sprint demos. Provide guidance and analyze sprint scope, sizing and assess risks. Also facilitates discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments. - Manage sprint rituals/ceremonies and generates Scrum artifacts (e.g. dashboards, reports, etc.). Be responsible for backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition with Product teams. - Take responsibility for managing dependencies between the Scrum teams and third parties, release managers, and between Scrum teams. - Demonstrate and coach on Agile Software Development methodology and incremental delivery within product teams. This includes ensuring all proper training and user documentation have been implemented. - Effectively communicates with cross-functional teams as well as interacts seamlessly with both business and project teams. Reports and communicates openly and frequently with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding the state of the project, especially to lead program manager. - Continuously shares new tools, techniques, and methodologies from teams and Agile community to improve process and efficient delivery of product. - Perform other job-related duties as requested. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent experience - 1+ years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role with proven Agile experience PREFERRED: - 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role - Scrum Master Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) - Certified Scrum Master working as a part of an Agile Development (Scrum) Team - Advanced knowledge of using tools that support agile development, JIRA and Confluence, and CA in communicating with various - 2+ years' experience in scrum project management, agile software development or software version control management - 1+ years' experience with traditional project management skills: managing budget, scheduling, estimating, etc., - Experience with Agile team operations in multiple organizations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Deep familiarity and understanding of Agile practices, SCRUM, and Test-Driven Development - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Skilled at managing stakeholder experience and setting expectations while driving dependent teams - Strong Scrum master, who is capable of running 2+ scrum teams in a geographically distributed environment - Working knowledge of Project Management fundamentals as defined by the Project Management Institute's Project Management - Experience in Software Development, Integration, or other Technology related projects/programs - Experience in planning, organizing, leading, and facilitating cross-functional, matrix-organized teams. - Familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and development practices - Understand the fundamentals of iterative development processes and procedures - Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition - Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics About Maxonic: Since 2002 Maxonic has been at the forefront of connecting candidate strengths to client challenges.
