[This job requires employment paperwork including tax forms, background check, and direct deposit authorization for payroll.]

Do you like looking after people? Adding comfort and ease to their day like an invisible magical fairy? If so, this may be an enjoyable position for you.

We are looking for an individual who equally enjoys and is competent in the varied activities of COOKING, CLEANING, CAREGIVING, and PERSONAL ASSISTANCE.

This job takes place in a private home with 30 hours a week to start, potentially more in future. The starting pay is $20/hour with raises available over time commensurate with experience with the family and demonstrated competence level.

Work shifts would be scheduled between 7:30am-5:30pm M-F and include a half day on either Saturday or Sunday per needs of the family. Some weekends off.

This is a LONG TERM position for a MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS. Please carefully consider your commitment to this position with the number of hours available, pay rate, and scheduling requirements before applying.

CLEANING duties would involve the usual home upkeep of washing dishes, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, bathrooms, toilets, trashes, general tidying and the like. Occasional deeper cleaning projects such as fridge, oven, windows, inside cupboards and drawers, inside vehicles, etc. This would be approx 30% of the job role.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT duties would primarily involve shopping, ups drop-offs, library drop-offs, other miscellaneous errands, managing home care personnel (yard keeper, pool keeper, etc.), organizing spaces, and various odd jobs around the house. Approx 10% of the job.

CAREGIVING duties would involve contributing to the care of a 16-year-old with special needs who resides in the home. Primarily this would be to back-up the main caregiver on duty, cover gap times between caregiver shifts or during their break times, and generally provide extra supervision and extra hand-on physical assistance whenever needed. All training provided for this aspect. Approx 20% of the job.

COOKING duties would be the most extensive role in this position and take the majority of the time. Family would specify their dietary needs and taste preferences. At first, family could provide exact meal plan, recipes, and shop for the ingredients, or provide meal kits. In time, this would evolve to the Cook taking the lead on all of these duties. Approx 40% of the job.

Very flexible to go with the flow with whatever the current needs are for types of work and number of hours.

Minimal personal scheduling conflicts and can adapt to what's needed with very short notice.

Ideal candidate would live very close to the residence in the Southern Highlands neighborhood.

Exceptional attendance and punctuality (i.e. no more than 1 tardiness or absence per month for any reason).

Comfortable with and adept at cooking a wide range of animal products including meats, fish, shellfish, bone broths, and organs.
