Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut various materials according to specifications. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Set up and operate saw equipment to cut materials such as marble, granite and man made hard surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules
- Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts
-Knowledgeable at laying out and bookmatching slabs
- Adjust saw blades, guides, and stops as necessary
- Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment
- Inspect finished cuts for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role
- Proficient in using various types of saw equipment
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality inspection skills
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
