Job Description

Moen has a new opening for a Manager, Warehouse to join our Distribution team in Las Vegas, NV. This is a 2nd shift leadership role with target hours 3:00 PM-11:30 PM.

Safety:

  • Drive the safety culture of the building by ensuring that all programs, rules, and regulations of the Distribution Center are followed and that all safety violations are reported and documented within the guidelines of our reporting process.
  • Fully accountable for safety performance, reporting, driving safety initiatives, promoting positive ergonomics/stretch program, and incident investigation.

Quality:

  • Execute quality initiatives and programs to improve customer satisfaction and meet quality expectations with minimizing shipping defects.
  • Ensure proper training of associates to perform their duties in accordance with established procedures. Manage cross training of associates.
  • Assist with ensuring all processes within the facility are formally documented, tested and all associates have been properly trained.
  • Utilize process improvement techniques to reduce customer defects generated in the processes.

Performance:

  • Manage day to day business to ensure inbound and outbound backlog is maintained to set expectations.
  • Drive performance across departments to reduce waste and drive results.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to refine and develop procedures to ensure continuous improvement utilizing 5s, Kaizen, and MOS.
  • Manage daily customer order flow to ensure 100% completion of daily shipping requirements.
  • Provide leadership and resources to execute goals by focusing on operational process flow.
  • Reporting responsibility for operational coordinators across all shifts and areas. Manage performance and provide direction/guidance including recognition and corrective dialogue.
  • Utilize process improvement techniques to improve performance in the processes.
  • Build partnerships with Customer Service, Transportation, peer sites, vendors, and customers to improve relationships and communication to serve the customer.

People:

  • Responsible for fair and consistent administration of personnel policies, procedures, and time keeping.
  • Communicate to managers and associates the status of the overall business and aspects that affect daily activities.
  • Manage all oral and written communications associated with this job function such as reports, disciplinary action, performance reviews, etc.
  • Support associate development, while fostering an environment of enablement, empowerment, and continuous learning and improvement. Identify developmental opportunities and generate development plans for all assigned reports to build skills and knowledge.

Other:

May perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehousing. Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Materials/Logistics processes and material flow is required.
  • Must possess a business orientation and interactive skills to support the distribution team and function as a business partner.
  • Ability to prioritize and achieve objectives in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities and multi-tasking.
  • Experience with lean principles and change management is preferred.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Office.
  • High degree of credibility.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Directly supervise employees across multiple shifts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and, to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient to expert in MS Word processing software, Excel spreadsheet software, MS Outlook, and warehousing and production transactions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 50+ employees across multiple shifts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
