MAJOR FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The RV Manager oversees the maintenance and recreational services at the RV Park. The RV Park Manager inspects the park to make sure everything is maintained and makes notes or recommendations for improvements. Inspecting the park includes checking buildings, picnic areas, roads, trails and fences. The RV Park Manager prepares written reports on activities at the park and look for ways to improve customer service.

The RV Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the RV Park operations such as individual and caravan reservations, site assignments, check-in and check-out duties, tour sales, and gift shop sales. The RV Manager is also responsible for inventory management, personnel management (Desk Clerk) and safety management. Appreciation for the highest standards of cleanliness of campgrounds, public areas and the ability to train staff accordingly are imperative. Maintaining the like-new appearance of all facilities and personal attention to guest needs and safety must be enforced. The RV Park Manager works at the direction of the Operations Manager. All overtime must be pre-approved on a weekly basis!

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (non-inclusive):

Manages the maintenance and operations of a park, including review of all paperwork done by Desk Clerk before turning paperwork into accounting. Also responsible for the duties listed above such as check-in and check-outs, tours, and gift shop sales.

Conducts inspections of the park and RV spaces before guests arrive and after guests depart. If there are any issues with an RV space, directly notifies the Operations Manager.

Recommends and implements new park improvements and projects.

Researches resources and recommends procedures and systems to carry out parks projects.

Establishes systems and procedures for monitoring methods and programs.

Develops work plans, objectives and goals for assigned areas.

On-call in the evenings for any problems that arise that Front Desk or Security cannot handle.

Able to apply the practices and principles necessary in the area of park operations and planning.

Able to create and implement program and project objectives, goals, procedures and policies.

Should ensure program and planning operations integrate with the operation of the department.

Able to formulate long term work goals and plans.

Directly implement programs and projects via subordinates.

Be able to make appropriate recommendations and decisions.
