Martis Camp Clubs Family Barn is seeking a SEASONAL full time Aquatics Supervisor for the summer season.

This position is May 1st-September 10th and includes weekend and holiday work.

The Aquatics Supervisor insures all water health and safety standards are maintained while supervising daily operations, maintenance and administration as well as coordinating all pool activities, events and swim lessons. The Supervisor is responsible for the hiring and training of the aquatics team to implement a safe, clean and fun aquatics facility. The Aquatics Supervisor will be required to work the appropriate hours to successfully execute the specific and general duties and responsibilities.

$17.00-$19.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

All ambassadors must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

JOB TASKS include but are not limited to:

Enforcing Club rules of safety and conduct.

Maintaining all necessary records concerning pool attendance, injury reports and incident reports.

Greeting and registering all members, guests and prospects at pool as well as charging any guest fees daily.

Maintaining proper chemical balance in pools and maintaining mechanical equipment in coordination with the Clubs Building Maintenance department.

Hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff including head lifeguard, lifeguards and swim instructors.

Formulating a weekly work schedule and rotation schedules for all pool personnel.

Maintaining correct payroll records for all pool personnel.

Coordinating a schedule for private and group swim lessons.

Purchasing all pool equipment and first aid supplies.

Ordering staff uniforms, swim diapers, sunscreen, toys and other pool accessories.

Executing pool opening and closing at the beginning and end of the season.

Interacting with Martis Camp Housekeeping team to maintain proper pool towel counts and cleanliness.

Managing pool area lost and found articles.

Managing pool area, including lockers and changing rooms for cleanliness.

Operating pool and surrounding area in compliance with OSHA requirements; maintaining all necessary MSDS sheets.

Recording an accurate history file of pool events, activities and lessons; write follow-up correspondence.

Performing other appropriate tasks assigned by the Camp Director.

Requirements:

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Pre-employment background screen for anyone providing swimming lessons

Ability to safely retrieve someone from the swimming pool (child or adult)

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to walk and stand up to 5 hours at a time

Ability to safely bend, kneel, twist, grip, and carry as part of above duties

Required Certificates:

Current Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate

Current Water Safety Instructor Certificate - Reimbursement for recertification available if taken less than 6 months of hire date.
