Sugar Bowl Ski Resort is looking for Dishwashers and Cashiers!

DISHWASHER

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Previous experience in a professional food production operation which includes dishwashing

-Knowledge of approved sanitation methods

-Continuous standing in kitchen area for most of shift

-Regular kneeling, stooping and bending

-Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

-Frequent decisions to assure compliance with performance standards

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

-Wash dishes, pots, pans and utensils using approved sanitation methods

-Return all items to their proper storage site

-Complete routine maintenance of kitchen and equipment, including weekly and daily deep cleaning

-Assist dining area with general cleaning and table service clean-up

-Work cooperatively with staff, primarily the main kitchen and food service staff

-Frequent interaction with Food Service Manager

CASHIER

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must have California Food Handlers Certification within 2 weeks of hire date.

-Ability to transport to and from work outdoors in inclement weather conditions, including walking in deep snow

-Flexible working hours

-Strong communication skills

-Ability to maintain composure under pressure/high volume

-Strong attention to detail

-Ability to work indoors and outdoors

-Help shovel the deck and move picnic tables when needed

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

-Display accurate cash handling skills, perform daily sales and close procedures while following company and departmental policies and procedures.

-Greet and assist guests as they approach the register.

-Ring in proper payment with each transaction.

-Assure payment is made for every item.

-Keep bills, coins, receipts, and coupons neat and orderly (bills must face up).

-Keep track of all voids, refunds, and over-rings with manager’s approval.

-Maintain orderly operations and ensure enough cash is in drawer for making change at all times.

-Maintain the cleanliness of immediate work station/area.

-Stock fruit bins, cookie & candy baskets, beverage cooler, and chip stands.

-Help with closing procedures – vacuuming, restocking, dishes, cleanliness of bathrooms, etc.

-Maintain a friendly, team spirit with a focus on guest service.

-Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.

-Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
