Job Description: Hemp Grower/Cultivator
Position Summary:
At Sierra Nevada Hemp and Hungry Mother Organics, were looking for Team Members who want to be part of achieving our mission to cultivate and provide our customers with the highest quality, organically grown, hemp processed into CBD products. You will be responsible for all aspects of organic Hemp cultivation from seed planting to harvest.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Field Farming, Hoophouse & Greenhouse Agronomics and General farming labor;
Prepping the field or greenhouse for seeding, planting Seedlings and Clones, Maintaining Crop, and Harvesting.
Trimming, Pruning, Cloning if desired.
Irrigation, Potting/Repotting
Shucking, & Grinding
Nutrient Mixing & Pesticide Application.
Follow all organic and cultivation procedures including safety protocols
Janitorial duties of facility and grounds structures. (i.e. order and cleanliness, disinfecting, sterilizing)
Other duties as may be assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task environment
Ability to work long hours in the elements. Up to 6 days a week 12+ hour days during peak seasons.
Team player with focus, Contributes to building a positive team
Able to build morale and promote company goals and objectives
Work in a rapidly growing industry and accepts change easily with good time management skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to accept accountability.
Takes direction well and able to interpret to others
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED; college education a plus
Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds
Prior Cannabis or Hemp cultivation experience preferred
English communication skills a must.
Spanish communication skills a plus.
Proficient computer skills with MS-Excel and Quick Books a plus.
