Almanor Dry Dock is in search of a talented marine mechanic with robust knowledge of marine engine systems and components to fill a full-time, year-round vacancy in the dry-stack operation beginning immediately.
Perform standard maintenance tasks such as winterizing, de-winterizing, oil changes,
fluid level inspections and tune-ups.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
Repair and replace boat components such as propellors and seals
Diagnose mechanical problems with electrical components using electrical test
equipment
Position requires weekend work during the summer season from May 1st through mid-October.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and the marine mechanic will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by overall business objectives of the organization.
Position requirements:
Trade Certification from nationally accredited program or five years of relevant experience
Class C driver's license
Clean DMV report
Sound judgement with ability to work safely and adhere to safety standards
Punctual and reliable attendance
Excellent communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with customers
and providing technical guidance
Relocation assistance available. 3 bedroom home in adjacent town of Chester included
$40.00 to $50.00 wage range $X$per hour subject to demonstration of commensurate skill level.
$1,000.00 relocation assistance upon presentation of receipts verifying rental truck and/or trailer expense and fuel expense, payable after completion of 4th week of employment.
