Job Description

Deliver hands-on, business-oriented strategic and technical consulting for our business in cloud infrastructure, automation solutions and solution architecture in the cloud domains of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Engage with internal clients to support adoption of cloud services, providing guidance and consultation around cloud application architecture for use in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS using best practices and standards focused on the AWS cloud platform.

  • Analysis : You can interpret complex business and technical issues and identify and recognize a viable solution or control.
  • Communication skills : understand security concepts deeply enough to engage with security technologists
  • Design secure systems : You can design secure systems through the application of patterns and principles, to meet user needs while managing risks
  • Security assessments : You understand the risk impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs and systems and can propose improvements.
  • Compliance : Understand compliance requirements and provide guidance and solutions for how they can be met.
  • Security consultant : You provide security advice in support of application development, infrastructure, and enterprise technology projects.
  • Research emerging products, services, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts
  • Develop infrastructure solutions with CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Strong scripting and or coding skills
  • Conduct security code reviews
  • Remediate Security issues
  • Mentor and upskill cloud engineers
  • Design coding standards and guidelines
  • Use source control
  • Implement Security best practices and standards
  • Assist in any relevant audit required by Fraedom, such as: Partner audits, ISAE3402, PCI DSS, ISO 27001
  • Triage and confirmation of security issues from several sources
  • Issue verification and ticket creation
  • Monitoring of public vulnerability disclosure channels for relevant technologies

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of full-time experience as a Cloud security engineer or equivalent.
  • Be comfortable with being responsible for the delivery of significant cloud and automation projects.
  • An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced in integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models with a specific focus on AWS. Azure is optional.
  • Previous experience with Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrating communication skills and the ability to drive continuous performance improvements with the stakeholders, vendors, and technology subject matter specialists
  • Documenting SOPs, and perform knowledge transfer to others
  • Demonstrating experience with at least one of the following development languages JavaScript, C#, or Python
  • Demonstrating experience with container technologies such as Docker
  • Working with code management tooling such as GitHub or Gitlab
  • Possess experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments
  • Experience of working in a close Agile / Scrum team
