Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) is seeking to appoint one full time permanent staff  – a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Information Systems. This position may be considered as equivalent to an Assistant Professor position in the US and Europe.From research perspective, there is a preference for the individual to have interest in sustainability issues (Green IT/IS, Digital Sustainability), cybersecurity and/or emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, machine learning or blockchain) with no particular preference to either qualitative or quantitative research methods. Candidates should have already published in top-tier IS journals. It is also important that the candidate regularly participates in top IS conferences and is involved in the IS scholarly community.In terms of teaching, it is highly desirable that candidates are able to teach in the business analytics and cyber security area. The department teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in most aspects of Information Systems, and also teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics. Members of the Information Systems Disciplinary Area (IS DA) have been publishing in top IS journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Management of Information Systems, Journal of the Association of Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems and others.  The Centre of Digital Enterprise (CODE), housed within ISOM, conducts research that takes a broad view on digital transformation, designed to address contemporary challenges faced by societies, enterprises, policy makers and individuals.He kōrero mōu | About youOur ideal candidate will have leadership capability to support in development and delivery of curriculum, you will be a team player who will support the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management and more specifically the IS DA.  You will have strong communication skills and are able to articulate your plans and ideas.  Suitably qualified with a Phd completed or near completion.Our ideal candidate will also have the following skills and experience: Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students Proven publication track recordExperience in initiating and undertaking research  Evaluate course content and delivery  Previous experience in supervising graduate students’ research
