The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahiThe Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) is a cross-faculty research centre. Our research deals with the application of mathematical and engineering sciences to biology and human physiology. We aim to improve understanding of physiological processes and the diagnosis and treatment of injury or disease. We are excited to announce that we have an opportunity for a detail-orientated Research Programme Coordinator to join our team.Key Accountabilities:You will be the first point of contact for support, providing a first class administrative and operational service to researchers covering the planning, implementation and delivery of research projects.You will assist researchers with the preparation and submission of funding proposals, including collecting relevant information and approvals, budget development, and ensuring compliance with client/funder and UoA guidelines and protocols.You will also assist the researcher with the management of the project budget, including financial re-forecasting and reporting You will be central to ensuring compliance with appropriate governance guidelines and policies.You will liaise with other service divisions across the University to facilitate outcomes related to the different aspects of the research life cycle    If you have an interest in project management and have experience in project coordination and/or administration in a different field or industry we encourage you to apply, as this is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to try something new and step into the world of research support. You will receive the support, guidance and training needed to grow into the role if you have the right attitude and foundation skills. This is a permanent fulltime (37.5 hours per week ) position. Remuneration $60000-65000For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description. About the team | Mō tō mātou rōpūABI is a world-leading research institute that aims to improve medical diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease. We do this through the application of engineering sciences and technical innovation to medicine and human physiology.The Institute has around 250 members, of which approximately 105 are graduate students enrolled in Doctoral or Master's research.
