The

Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (SCRR) will be responsible for the effective coordination of a portfolio of research projects entitled Gut Bugs II with discrete treatment projects (three clinical trials) that address the benefits to health and well-being of adolescents with obesity and metabolic syndrome, adolescents and young people with autism and gut dysfunction and adolescents with anorexia nervosa.

This is a 3-year fixed term full time role.

These clinical trials will include taking the microbiome from healthy donors and administering thetreatment to participants as an encapsulated preparation. Parameters monitored will include body composition, metabolism, dietary behaviour, well-being questionnaires and stool microbiome.

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will coordinate (or manage) all aspects of clinical research activity, monitor project timelines, ethics requirements, coordinate the recruitment strategy and report to the team and data monitoring committee on progress. The SCRR will work closely with the assessment and laboratory teams.

Our ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for medical and development research in the area of adolescent health and wellbeing. You will be confident and self-driven but also be personable and flexible to work with and support your team.

Important Skills/ Experience| Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical/developmental research
  • Experience working independently and with a team
  • Experience with financial budget tracking
  • Experience with managing clinical research data
  • Experience in leadership within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with privacy laws (patient privacy), practising ethical behaviour
  • Proficient if MS Office, word, excel spreadsheets, working with outlook, calendar management and data base management

Reporting through to the Principal Investigator, you will be working closely with the Research staff, the data team, CRU nurse manager and also the Liggins Operations Team.

Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. nursing, public health, allied health, social work or education.
