Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity  An opportunity has arisen within the University of Auckland for a Service Management Specialist where you will be part of our Performance and Modernisation Group. You will be responsible for analysing, designing and implementing improved service-related solutions in a complex environment and in conjunction with Service leaders and University customers, ensuring that services are fit for purpose and add value. With your energetic can-do approach, you’ll also help to continuously refine existing or implement new Service Management processes to best fit University needs, including aligning processes to Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies.The position presents fantastic opportunities to apply your already developed Service Management skillset specialising in Configuration Management (CMDB) and further your professional development.For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description.Please note this a fulltime (37.5hours/week) permanent position, with a salary range of $105,000- $120,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. Mō tō māou rōpū | About the team  Connect | Rātonga Matihiko is the IT Group within the University and is responsible for the delivery and support of applications, infrastructure and end-user devices to support the University's core functions of Teaching, Learning and Research within Faculties, Large-Scale Research Institutes and the supporting Service Divisions.Service Performance plays an important role in leading and governing the quality and performance of IT service delivery to support University staff and students achieve their objectives. This team acts as a partner to IT by helping to align and embed the right practices, processes, tools, roles and responsibilities across IT teams.He kōrero mōu | About you Our ideal candidate will hold an ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification and a further qualification with a focus in the area of Configuration Management.You’ll have a thorough understanding of IT Service Management ideally in the ServiceNow Platform. This includes the ability to able to work with the team to realise the benefits of the Configuration Management Database.  This is an opportunity for you to leverage the foundation work already completed and take us to the next level!To be successful in this role you will need to be an energetic and well-articulated individual who challenges the currency of service practices. You will be highly skilled with a positive approach who thrives in a rapidly changing environment.Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills  Critical to your success in the role is your diverse skill set, including an analytical approach, a problem-solving mindset and business change skills.
