Job Description

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

We are seeking to appoint a new student development adviser to provide opportunities and access to services that engage, develop and support students through the student lifecycle and improve the student experience.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate development programmes & initiatives such as leadership programmes, community services and volunteering, and student support funds.
  • Deliver effective support and transition programmes such as mentoring programmes, First Year Experience and orientation activities
  • Seek out opportunities to promote and celebrate student successes.
  • Coordinate student communications, wellbeing initiatives, community placement programmes and international exchange agreements.
  • Work collaboratively toward operational and strategic continuous improvement initiatives at a University level and throughout the faculty.
  • Deliver major Business School initiatives including the case programme and Women’s Mentoring Programme
  • Lead the annual Champions’ Trophy International Case Competition

We are seeking someone with proven people management skills gained in a complex environment. You’ll also need strong stakeholder management, together with a commitment to results-oriented, collaborative ways of working.

A good knowledge of student issues and challenges is needed as is a continuous improvement mindset.
