Job Description

We’re seeking a switched on, experienced individual to provide technical support for the undergraduate programmes in School of Optometry and Visual Science preclinical and clinical facilities, at our state of the art Grafton campus. This is a part-time (18.75 hours a week) 12-month fixed term role.

The opportunity

This role is critical to support the operational set-up and maintenance of equipment spaces to ensure our students can learn efficiently and our academic staff can focus on providing world-class education.

This role involves ensuring that our equipment is maintained, calibrated and scheduled repairs are managed. You’ll ensure we have the latest hardware and software for optimal functionality.

About you

You will be comfortable working in an optometry clinic or retail space. Prior understanding of laboratory equipment and optic and optometry instrumentation would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided to the right person.

You will be highly organised with fantastic interpersonal and communication skills.
