Job Description

As a hands-on data-driven Product Owner you will play a key part in driving the success of New Zealand’s fastest growing e-commerce marketplace. You will be working with a talented, agile team who are delivery focused and have the business support to build the best shopping experience in the market. You will work cross functionally, collaborating with business stakeholders from all disciplines to understand requirements, UX designers to understand customer impacts, and engineers to deliver feature improvements that really move the needle.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive the delivery roadmap across consumer facing product; mobile, app and desktop
  • Understand the business priorities and help align technical requests to deliver inline with the strategic direction.
  • Collaborate on product and feature vision and deliver with a strong customer-first, mobile-first mindset
  • Provide user insights to the business for best-in-class decision making transparency and stakeholder inclusion
  • Data driven decision making and good commercial nous that leads to identifying and prioritising the right opportunities 
  • You lead without authority and are a great communicator and collaborator with a natural influencing style 
  • Great stakeholder management skills and a strategic mindset

Qualifications

  • Piror experience as a product owner in a e-commerce or digital business
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to relate to the engineering team, understand technical problems and bounce ideas to find a pragmatic way forward
  • Be able to execute basic command-line statements is important as well as having a technical comprehension of the intention of the ticket from a customer point of view allowing for spot checking where necessary.
  • Experience working in a mobile & app first environment (B2C)
  • Strongly analytical skills, have proven ability to use data to support any ecommerce insights into customer behaviour on our web and mobile app platforms. Be great if you also had some GA or SQL skills but not essential
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability in being data and empathy driven
