Job Description

This is a full-time, technically oriented-professional exempt position. A project manager in this position will be responsible for leading team(s) to deliver project(s) that span across multiple software solutions in the ELLKAY product suite to support our growing Health Care Delivery customer base. This includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

The Project Manager – Acute and Enterprise Migrations has the authority to run each project on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for establishing and cultivating a positive working relationship with each hospital customer from an implementation perspective. The project manager is also providing direction, coordination and control of the project while remaining aligned with commitments and goals of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful implementation of Acute and Enterprise data transfer projects for multiple migration and archive solutions in the ELLKAY product suite.
  • Provide leadership for the project team to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Work with customers to develop a comprehensive migration strategy including goals, extraction plans and validation of migrated data.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more initiatives simultaneously.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure overall success of the customer implementation.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and host the regular project status update meetings with the customer.
  • Monitor and report on project status regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals.
  • Manage project scope and changes.
  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
  • Work with customers to define project success criteria
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all project communication, both oral and written
  • Set and manage appropriate expectations both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of Health Care Delivery workflows as they pertain to clinical applications and modules.
  • Knowledge of clinical data in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Experience leading multiple projects on time
  • Experience navigating through complex hospital environments.
  • Strong experience with hospital inpatient and outpatient applications and systems
  • Experience working on data migration projects.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Experience leading project teams including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Adaptable with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to exercise effective decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • 3-5 years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a hospital or large group practice environment
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office, Project management tools such as Smartsheets or MS Project
  • PMP certification preferred.
