Rental Service & Repair Technician

Job Description

This dynamic person will be expected to perform a variety of complex operations involving equipment assembly, component replacement, shipping/receiving and computer related tasks.

• Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork
• Responsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rental equipment
• Provide service support for unusual rental customer problems
• Must have knowledge of all equipment and may be required to train other employees or customers on equipment
• Required to log equipment in and out of the system based on customer info provided on order
• Able to complete repair estimates for customer owned equipment
• Good communication with the sales team to understand customer requirements
• Keep area clean and free of debris
• Delivery & In-Service of Equipment
• Perform all above duties in a safe effective and efficient manner

Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• HS degree with 1 year related experience desired.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Aptitude with various power tools.
• Problem-solving skills
• Requirements may include training of other employees
• Overnight travel may be required
• Good communication skills
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

• Ability to work independently
• Resourcefulness
• Must be able to adjust to a changing work environment, competing demands, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.
• Electrical, Hydraulic aptitude in addition to Mechanical
• Basic computer skills/knowledge of Word and Excel computer programs

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, sitting, squatting, climbing, standing
