Job Description

BIC have a great opportunity for a highly motivatedand innovative individual to join our team as Sales Representative in Auckland, New Zealand. The Sales Representative is responsible for managing field based grocery accounts within a defined region for the BIC NZ business with a primary focus on Pak n Save & Gilmours stores.

As one of BIC’s Territory Managers, you’ll be responsible for maximising sales and profitability by activating sales strategies, building and maintaining strong business relationships whilst providing best in class customer engagement and service levels.

The main responsibilities of the Sales Representative includes:

  • Business Development: Effective management of a defined region, covering all agreed outlets at optimum frequencies in a cost effective manner.
  • Budget: Achievement of financial and non-financial targets for designated region.
  • Compliance: Drive execution of agreed and over and above promotional opportunities. This incorporates but is not limited to sales drives, sales promotions, key events and display acquisition.
  • Distribution: Increase BIC’s product offer at the point of purchase to by increasing existing or expansion through new products in-line with company objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Inform customers, both internal and external, of market trends, pricing and new products.
  • Sales team support: To support national sales function, attend meetings and deliver both financial and non-financial KPI’s.

Essential Requirements:

  • Industry experience in a selling function
  • Current drivers license
  • Demonstrates sound financial acumen
  • Impeccable communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with popular Microsoft applications (specifically excel)

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications, ideally in business or equivalent; and
  • Proven success in new business development.
