Job Description

Verisk is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to assist with Procurement to Payable systems. In this role, you'll develop and implement system/procedural improvements in Procurement and Payable areas. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into systems requirements and scoping as well as work with the technical team to convey and clarify requirements as part of the development process.

The day to day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist with Procurement to Payable systems
  • Develop and implement system/procedural improvements in Procurement and Payable areas
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into systems requirements and scoping
  • Work with the technical team to convey and clarify requirements as part of the development process
  • Investigate system issue and resolve inquiries from users
  • Assist in the implementation/Enhancement and validation of Financials systems
  • Special projects (part of a team on a need-by-need basis)
  • Enhance internal financial/accounting systems based on management and end-user needs
  • Support integration of new acquisitions and existing operations
  • Setting up global entities with Withholding and VAT rules
  • Other Accounts Payable system maintenance

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in any of the leading ERP/Information Systems environment (PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday, SAP etc.), PeopleSoft experience will be preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Experience with implementation and support of an ERP software package
  • Experience with creation and analysis of internal financial reports in support of senior management
  • Critical thinking with effective communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS-Office
  • Must be able to think analytically and under pressure with willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, deadline and detail oriented
  • Troubleshooting skills, problem resolution, project management and technology evaluation to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision both written and verbally
