Title: HVAC Controls System Designer Location: Manchester, NH (remote with field travel as needed) Duration: Direct Hire Compensation: $53,900 - $82,200 Base Salary + Benefits + Potential Sign-On Bonus Other Perks: Company Cell Phone & Vehicle Manager Notes: Will start with 6 weeks of training to get caught up to speed. Position is open due to company growth/need for a resource in this region. Manager is remote with 4 direct reports - 1 senior member in Albany, NY and 3 others spread out in northern NY in junior/mid-level skill set. Open to recent grad candidates with mechanical/engineering degree and an interest in HVAC design. Ideal candidates will have worked for Siemens or other competitors, but it is definitely not required to be successful in the role. Will be mostly an office-based role at first especially while training and then in the field from time to time when needed. The Manchester, NH opening will be remote because of no office in the area, but the manager will visit as often as needed. Will be responsible for configuration, commissioning, and duct design of HVAC mechanical/electrical/controls. Process will be a one-and-done video interview with the manager - he's open to F2F interview if candidate prefers. Typical Hours are 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm; he's extremely flexible with his teams schedule and said however they need to do it if fine with him. What you will do: Performs assigned system commissioning using configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. How you will do it:

  • Loads system-level controller software.
  • Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation.
  • Keeps management and contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicates with the contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. Required:
  • Two years' experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude.
  • Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Depending on location, the mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements.
