As an HR Generalist you will provide support and assistance to areas of HR including payroll, benefits, administration, recruiting, onboarding, and other employee initiatives.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and retention policies.
  • Responsible for onboarding all new employees, ensuring that all paperwork has been received and processed in a timely manner, including I-9 verification.
  • Assist the Human Resources Director with recruiting including but not limited to posting open positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and administering assessments/tests as needed.
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee information in various HR and payroll systems.
  • Complete various agency requests (i.e. verifications of employment, etc.).
  • Assist in maintaining health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Assign, track, create, and administer various trainings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees by answering employee questions and/or responding to employee inquiries.
  • Update and maintain various HR-related documents.
  • Serve as the primary backup for processing payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, DOL, EEOC etc.
  • Support the vision and mission of the company.

YOUR PROFILE

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience: 1 - 3 years of HR experience
