Job Description

The

Dining Room Attendant leads the flow and operation of our main dining room. They are responsible for ensuring residents are served in a timely and polite manner and have an overall pleasant dining experience 3 times a day. Other duties include resetting tables, ensuring cleanliness of drink station and dining room, and some dish washing.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out all daily tasks in a manner that advances the goals and visions of Pinelands of Medford
  • Monthly and yearly trainings as required
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time, in full uniform with exceptional personal hygiene
  • Follow all food safety rules
  • Follow all Physical Safety rules
  • Sandwich, salad and baking production
  • Client mealtime service, includes serving clients and keeping the service line full, clean and organized
  • Stocking shelves, receiving and orders arranged in correct storage areas
  • Proper storage of foods
  • Cleaning, dishwashing and garbage removal
  • Cleaning of all stations, equipment, floors and shelving
  • Washing all dishes, containers, pans and utensils
  • All garbage removed from kitchen daily
  • All products are prepared according to recipes and specifications and in quantities and varieties as directed by immediate supervisor
  • All clients are served in a friendly, quick and courteous manner, using proper service techniques and portioning guidelines
  • Employee shall be completely knowledgeable with the day’s menu prior to beginning of meal service
  • Each client is greeted, served appropriately
  • Treat fellow employees, facility staff and clients with the utmost respect
  • Additional cleaning duties are carried out as required and assigned by immediate supervisor
  • All employees are to adhere to all kitchen, dining room and site HACCP procedures
  • All dining services employees are to adhere all kitchen cleaning and sanitizing procedures
  • Each client is greeted, served appropriately
  • Client complaints and/or concerns will be handled positively and efficiently

Qualifications

  • Graduation from High School or GED
  • Self-motivated and works well with others
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable working in high volume output environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in guest service skills: reliable, consistent, informative, and pleasant
