Must Have Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data validation

Job Responsibilities
  • Proactively speaking with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution
  • Identify, communicate, and proactively lead project risks as well those of our supporting teams (as applicable)
  • Help drive overall team objectives and improvement initiatives
  • Steer gathering of team requirements on process improvements
  • Facilitate alignment to Quality Assurance and automation standards and support overall DevOps Integration
  • Partner with development teams and promote understanding of test data and its role in the project lifecycle
  • Support multiple test data pipelines
  • Support Continuous Integrated (CI) testing using industry standard tools and techniques

Education and Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of Software Quality Assurance or demonstrated experience required
  • 6+ years of Software Development or demonstrated experience desired

Knowledge
  • Extensive exposure to ETL/ Back-end Testing with high-level of SQL skills is required
  • Analyze large data feeds and assess quality of data by removing or cleaning data
  • Solid understanding of data feeds, feed specification documents and data mapping is required
  • Proven experience with ETL/ ELT validations in DB2, Oracle, Snowflake, Teradata etc.
  • Proven understanding of Data warehousing systems and the data migration concepts
  • Experienced with programming languages such as Python or Java and scripting language like SQL is required
  • Knowledge of the core AWS services is preferred
  • Good Understanding of Behavior Driven Development - BDD Framework
  • Experience with trading or financial applications are preferred with a practical understanding of payroll applications & feeds is highly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities in response to changing business needs
  • Proficient in Agile software development
  • Understanding of Dev Ops principles and strategies as well as how to apply them to multiple SDLC models is preferred
  • Accurate SDL standards including code review and documentation
