Adecco is looking for a printing press operator in Milford Nh in partnership with a local paper company. This position will be at $15/hour and will increase to $18 once trained proficiently.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain ink. Ensure proper water based inks are selected for all production scheduled. Maintain proper PH and viscosity of inks. Issue and replenish inks from inventory to shop packets and return unused inks to inventory.
Check quality of material, label, store in proper location and complete required paperwork. Inspect substrate before it is printed for type, color, gauge bands, total yards and treat level.
Keep ink pumps clean at all times to prevent various color inks from cross contamination.
Maintain and recycle cleaning solutions (water and detergent) to clean print stations.
Mount, install and change cylinders when necessary.
Use hoist for safe lifting when loading and unloading material on the press.
Set up and run production per schedule in a timely, quality conscious manner. Shrink wrap all finished material before storing.
Make necessary machine adjustments as needed while running a product to insure quality product is being produced. Make sure and check print quality for streaks, spots or anything that is out of alignment.
Be careful and conscientious when handling the anilox roll during both changing and cleaning so no nicks or scratches blemish the roller.
Weigh waste and record amounts. Move waist into recycle bin.
Make sure workstation has needed supplies.
Maintain knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Promptly inform department supervisor or manager of any problems, mistakes, surprises or accidents.
Follow all general safety rules and department safety rules. Make sure proper personal protective equipment is being used at all times.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
