Utility Worker

Pay Rate: $25.89 per hour.BENEFITS Veolia's comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental and vision insurance. Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.Position Purpose: The Utility Worker is responsible for performing a variety of routine cleaning, maintenance and repair to tanks, drains, culverts, grounds, buildings, and associated structures.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Cleans process tanks, galleries, drains, culverts, structures and process spills and upsets as required.Maintain roadways, walkways, fencing and gates as necessary; removes snow and ice from roadways, walkways, buildings and structures as necessary.Maintains the appearance of the plant grounds by cutting, trimming and weeding grass, shrubs, trees and ornamental planting beds.Operates machinery, vehicles, material handling equipment, and tools as necessary to move materials and supplies; loads and unloads vehicles, carts, trailers and other equipment as required.Digs and/or refills ditches, holes, breaks; removes and repairs concrete; collects and disposes of trash and other waste materials.Reports and documents work performed.Washes and cleans vehicles.Assures work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating and emergency response procedures.Performs cleanup, housekeeping tasks for work area, tools, administrative areas, equipment and painting as required.Performs other related duties as necessary.
